How do we tune out the noise?
Every day, we are bombarded with all sorts of distractions.
Our pocket-sized technologies deliver endless pings and notifications.
News outlets feed us sensationalist headlines:
Advertisements tug at our subconscious.
This is the world we live in. This is the attention economy.
The distractions start at birth, and they evolve as we get older.
To combat all the distractions, some will opt for noise-canceling headphones.
But I prefer to live in reality.
My suspicion? There is no way out of the maze.
We can’t tune out the noise of everyday life. It’s too pervasive.
Instead, we have to tune in.
